Threats

In order of immediacy of threat:

  1. The Conservative Party No Confidence vote in Theresa May will not come yet. Her opponents on all sides would prefer her to weaken herself further first, so the knife is euthanasia rather than murder.
  2. Renegotiation will not take place until a crisis point is reached.
  3. That looks likely to come after the parliamentary vote.
  4. We have had a lot of noise from Conservative Brexiteers but the arithmetic of the vote depends on Labour pragmatists in Leave constituencies.
