Insurance and climate change
Insurers of catastrophic events are seeing catastrophes increase in frequency. Hurricane Harvey was the costliest ever. In the twentieth century, climate modelling would have seen it as a once in a 2000 year event; when it hit in 2017 it was a one in a 300 year event, and by 2100 it will be one in a 30 year event.
